Accidental Love Final Book Broke Me, I’m Not OK

A Deeply Emotional Romance That Will Stay With You Forever

Hello again, book lovers!

I can hardly contain my excitement because the final book in Saxon James’ Accidental Love series is finally out! And, of course, I devoured it the moment it landed on my Kindle.

Let’s be honest—I’ve been waiting for this book since I finished the previous four, and the second it was released, I knew there was no way I’d be able to pace myself. So, naturally, I finished it in less than 24 hours.

Big mistake. Now, I’m sitting here, staring at my bookshelf, completely lost. Sure, I have an endless TBR list (like any true bookworm does), but nothing can quite compare to the emotional rollercoaster that this series took me on.

If you’ve ever experienced a serious book hangover, you’ll understand exactly what I mean. Saxon James has an incredible way of weaving deeply emotional, heartfelt, and utterly addicting stories—ones that leave a lasting imprint on your heart.

If you haven’t read any of Saxon’s books yet, let me tell you—you’re seriously missing out! Her writing is raw, emotional, and deeply moving, and she crafts some of the most unforgettable happy endings I’ve ever read. Each book in this series is beautifully written, but this final installment? It absolutely wrecked me.

In a league of its own

What made this book stand out the most was the main character’s struggle with severe mental illness. His anxiety is so intense that his mind convinces him he’s physically dying—an experience that felt so visceral and real that I could feel his pain through the pages.

On top of that, his childhood traumas are heartbreaking, making you want to reach through the book, wrap him in a hug, and tell him everything will be okay. 🥺

Saxon James handled these themes with so much sensitivity and authenticity, making this one of the most emotionally resonant books I’ve read in a long time.

More than just romance

It’s not just a romance; it’s a journey of healing, self-acceptance, and finding love in the places you least expect.

So, if you’re looking for a gripping, heartwarming, and utterly unforgettable romance series, I highly recommend Accidental Love!

And if you love it as much as I do, you’ll want to dive into the other interconnected series that expand on this world. Trust me—you’ll thank me later. 😉

Not Catching Love by Saxon James

Xander

There’s something seriously wrong with me.

For once, I’m not talking about the health anxiety that randomly pops up and wreaks havoc on my life. I’m talking about, well, everything else.

All my roommates have found someone to love them, and it hurts to see the guys who used to have me at the center of their worlds pair off and grow up, especially when it’s a reminder of how alone I’ve always been. I’ve always had an issue with relationships.

With forming a connection with people outside of Seven, but this is more.

Because I want to find my someone.

Except the one person my brain has latched onto is the one person I can never have. The one person who’s there to help me when my panic attacks get too much.

Nurse Derek.

Derek

I should never have offered to treat Xander Moore.

And now here I am years later, my life on hold, while I wait day in and day out for the call that Xander needs me. It always comes, and I always answer, but I’m starting to dread those visits.

Lately, I’m looking at Xander in a way a medical professional should never look at their patient.

When Xander starts volunteering at the same nursing home that I do, I get to see a new side of him. The artistic, charismatic side that draws the residents in.

I get glimpses of a man who’s so much more than his anxiety, and it does nothing to help my feelings for him.

Lines begin to blur and I have no choice but to stop treating him. That at least allows us to be friends. The only problem is, being friends isn’t enough for either of us.

It’s wrong, unethical, and unprofessional, but my heart won’t listen. It’s decided on Xander, and it doesn’t want to wait. Neither does Xander.

But if I want to keep my job, I have to resist.

I just wish he didn’t make that so difficult.

Too bad a thousand stars reviews aren’t allowed🤣

This book was so perfect that five stars don’t seem enough to express how profound and beautiful it was.

5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What do I do with myself now?!

I need a minute to compose myself. I knew this book would be amazing but I wasn’t ready for how much I would love it. Where do I start to explain how much I love Xander and Derek?

My beautiful blue haired, artistic, insecure adorable Xander, your struggles with mental illness had my heart breaking into a million pieces.

To see you not realize how special and loved your are was really hard to read. You deserve all the love you got from the people around you. You were the light in their lives and didn’t even know it.

You deserve a love like Derek’s because he SAW the real you. The you you couldn’t see because you thought you were boring.

There were times when I was annoyed with both of them, but I understood Derek’s point of view. He was doing what he thought was the right thing and it paid off.

My precious Seven, I can’t express how much I love your character. Your dedication and commitment to Xander’s wellbeing was admirable.

I’ve read hundreds of books and you are by far my all time favorite character. I was so happy that Derek understood how Molly, Xander and Seven were one and made sure it stayed that way.

I couldn’t stop the tears. Family is important but a CHOSEN family is EVERYTHING! And let’s not forget about our honorary grandma,

Aggy. She gave those lost boys everything they didn’t know they needed. She was the glue that kept them together. I’ve never been sadder to finish a book than I am finishing this one. It was the perfect ending to the series.

Like always Saxon didn’t downplay how serious Xander’s mental illness was and didn’t just chalk it up to finding someone to love him.

She made sure to give us a great character development by showing us that if we put in the work, we will see the results. I can’t wait for the audio. This series is worth reading time and time again.

Now that the series is done…

I relistened to the first four books while I waited for this one. I love doing this so the characters and their stories stay fresh in my mind.

The audiobook is available now for Not Catching Love so I’ll be listening AGAIN to catch up🤣 Teddy Hamilton does an amazing job narrating the whole series and there’s nothing wrong in listening after reading😉
